In conjunction with Xtrememusealogy and Manchester University, Whitworth Art Gallery commissioned Born and Bred dance artists, Victoria Brown and Olivia Peers to choreograph a flash mob to be performed in galleries and museums around Manchester.
Artistic Director of Born and Bred, Olivia Peers, was asked to work with Young Oldham Dance, to choreograph a piece for their performance at U.Dance. The piece was literally plucked out of nothing.
This was the project where it all began. ‘More than Moors’ was an exploration of Saddleworth’s past and present landscapes through dance, looking at themes of rumours, twists, lies and ghosts.
