Weekly dance & yoga classes for adults in Mossley...

We currently run four weekly classes for adults in Mossley. On Wednesday's and Friday's we are at the wonderful Mossley Community Centre. Please book your place in advance by contacting Olivia either via email olivia@bornandbreddance.co.uk or by phoning 07983469398. Olivia is the dance artist and yoga teacher who will be running the classes and will be able to answer any questions or queries you may have.

Contemporary Class

£8 per class or £30 for a block of five classes.

Class Description

Join us on Wednesday evening at Mossley Community Centre for a dance class with a difference. Progress, at you own speed, through movement exercises and original sections of choreography in a contemporary style. This class uses dance as a way to keep fit, healthy and happy, with influences from pilates and yoga.

The dates for our next block are 12th, 19th, 26th February, 5th and 12th March 2025.
Please note we are NOT taking a break over half term.

Dance Fitness Class (Over 50’s)

Class Description

Join dance artist, Olivia Peers on Friday mornings at Mossley Community Centre for a dance exercise class specifically designed for ladies and gentlemen of a certain age! Build up your fitness by getting down with your bad self to great music whilst learning fun, easy and stylish routines. This energetic class uses whole body movement to help you improve your mobility, strength, balance and coordination.

The dates for our next block are 14th, 21st, 28th February, 7th and 14th March 2025.

All Levels Vinyasa Flow

When

6:45pm - 7:45pm

How much?

£8 per class or £30 for a block of five sessions

Class Description

Starting off slowly with an opening meditation, the class will progress into a series of warm up stretches to prepare your body for our main flow sequence. The main flow will be a series of yoga poses that link together, often relating to a theme from yoga philosophy, a particular body part or a particular movement. At the end of the class we will wind down with some slower and gentler stretches before arriving in Shavasana (the lying down bit) for a final relaxation. We will work with the breath throughout.

Designed to be as accessible as possible the class will include alternative options throughout the whole class to help you develop a personalised yoga practise that brings out the best in your body and mind.

Chair Yoga

11am - 12 noon

£7 per class or £25 for a block of five

Class Description

Chair Yoga is designed to give you the same benefits of a mat based class without the discomfort of being on a floor. 

Starting off slowly with an opening meditation, the class will progress into a series of warm up stretches to prepare your body for our main flow sequence. The main flow will be a series of yoga poses that link together, often relating to a theme from yoga philosophy, a particular body part or a particular movement. At the end of the class we will wind down with some slower and gentler stretches before arriving into a Seated Shavasana for a final relaxation. We will work with the breath throughout.

Designed to be as accessible as possible the class will include alternative options throughout the whole class to help you develop a personalised yoga practise that brings out the best in your body and mind.
